If you've ever seen Guys and Dolls, you will undoubtedly have been enchanted by the Hot Box Girls: these feisty singers and dancers work with Miss Adelaide in the club, and provide crucial backup in popular numbers like 'A Bushel and a Peck'.
Lovely Hot Boxer, Becca Taylor, has kindly taken five minutes out of her busy rehearsal schedule to give us the downlow on her favourite songs, shows, and what the audience will be thinking after they've seen RicNic Hampshire's Guys and Dolls...
How did you hear about/what made you want to get involved with RicNic?
My sister who has been involved before as well as an advert going round the college email.
What will the audience be thinking about in the car as they drive home after this show?
Audiences will be thinking: “Well I’m coming back next year!’
What’s going to surprise people about this show?
Everyone in the cast is 100% into it rather than holding back. They give 110%.
Besides this one, what’s your favourite stage show?
West Side Story or Moulin Rouge… I can’t decide!
What do you do when you’re not doing theatre?
I play in an orchestra (violin). And I sing!
If you were a song, which one would you be?
‘Let it Happen’ by Tame Impala, because I’m easy going.
