A unique and hugely exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled, creative individual to play a key role in shaping RicNic's future. Applications are now open to become RicNic's first Executive Director: to direct its future vision and development, and to lead its ambitious expansion plans.
RicNic is one of the country's most exciting youth arts charities: a genuine youth theatre company and unique social enterprise where young people really do get to run the show. Each summer, RicNic produces full-scale musicals in amazing venues, where every member of the company - from the director to the dancers to the designers to the drummer - is aged 16 to 21 years. Given responsibility and trust instead of adult supervision, RicNic participants have the best month of their lives proving what remarkable things they can achieve, and developing leadership, teamwork and valuable professional skills at the same time. Best of all, it doesn't cost a penny: RicNic projects don't have any compulsory participation fees. Talent and passion are what counts.
For fifteen years, RicNic has run these life-changing courses for hundreds of young people, and is currently active in three cities. Following recent, successful fundraising, and with our first staff member now onboard, we are recruiting an Executive Director with the vision, imagination, creativity, and interpersonal skills to drive our expansion, and increase our activity in new ways and areas. The role will require a true self-starter capable of balancing fundraising, marketing, people and resource management, someone who can balance strategy and delivery, who is a big thinker and a great communicator. This is a job like no other, and we need a candidate like no other to fill it!
